Transparency report

Weared publishes its moderation figures in the open, in the spirit of the Meta Transparency Center, X Transparency Reports and the DSA Transparency Database (EU). The figures below are pulled live from our database: they reflect activity since the public launch (July 2026) and refresh each time the page loads. The target times further down are commitments, not measurements.

Key facts

  • Buyers: 18+ self-declared, no ID needed.
  • Sellers: women and men, ID-verified once by a specialist provider (the ID is never shown to buyers), selling under a pseudonym.
  • International: since September 2026, buyers abroad can order when the seller ships outside her country, except from Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Cuba. No parcels to the US from another country, nor to countries that ban used clothing (mainland China, Mexico…); photos and videos stay on sale there.

All key facts

Context: Weared launched publicly in July 2026. The metrics below therefore cover a young platform: a low volume does not mean moderation is absent, only that overall usage is still limited. We publish no cache, no rounding, no filtering.
37 Reports received rolling 30 days
1 Of which NCII / CSAM zero tolerance
9 Reports handled rolling 30 days — closed or dismissed
0 Listings removed since launch
0 Accounts banned since launch

Raw, unrounded figures, recomputed on every HTTP request. NCII = Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery; CSAM = child sexual abuse material (zero tolerance, reported to the competent authorities: Cybercrime CH, PHAROS).

Responsiveness — our target times

These are our internal handling targets. They are not measured results.

< 1 h Target — NCII/CSAM emergencies
< 24 h Target — standard reports
7 j Target — reasoned appeal response
28 Reports open right now

We do not yet publish a measurement of how well we meet these targets: our reports database does not timestamp the handling date, so we cannot compute it honestly. We will publish it here as soon as the database allows it to be measured.

Report categories

Each report received is classified into one of the following seven categories.

CSAM

Content involving a minor. Priority removal, report to fedpol, preservation of evidence. Not open to internal appeal.

NCII

Intimate image shared without the consent of the person depicted. Immediate removal, the person is pointed to StopNCII, permanent ban.

Scam / off-platform payment

Seller redirecting to an external channel, fake profile, non-delivery. Account suspension, loss of reputation, dispute mediation. In direct bitcoin payment, Weared cannot refund — hence the mandatory tracking number (proof of shipment) and each profile's public sales history; under guarantee, Weared refunds if shipment is not proven.

Harassment / threats

Insulting messages, blackmail, attempted doxxing. Human moderation, ban of the author, report to authorities if the threat is credible.

Copyright / trademark

Handled via the DMCA procedure: formal notification, takedown, counter-notification possible.

Illegal content (excluding CSAM/NCII)

Controlled substances, weapons, trafficking, criminally prohibited content. Removal, log retention, judicial cooperation on request.

Other / breach of the T&Cs

Duplicate, spam, wrong category, minor breach of the T&Cs. Warning followed by graduated sanction.

Typical moderation-action timeline

  1. T+0 — report received (listing form, contact@ email, INHOPE hotline, legal request).
  2. Human triage, case opened, precautionary measure if needed (provisional removal) — emergencies first.
  3. Reasoned decision: removal, warning, suspension, ban, or no further action.
  4. Execution: content deleted, account holder notified, payments frozen where relevant.
  5. Closure: the reporter receives a written reply (if an e-mail was provided); the action is recorded in the reports.jsonl log, kept for 12 months.
  6. Appeal possible against the decision (see appeal procedure).

Our commitments

  1. NCII/CSAM emergencies handled first, with provisional removal at first review.
  2. Standard report: written, reasoned reply to any reporter who left an e-mail.
  3. Appeal of a moderation decision: human re-examination and reasoned reply.
  4. 18+ verification of every seller before her first sale, through a third-party identification provider (Didit).
  5. Transparency: this page, updated live from our data.

Oversight and cooperation

What is checked, and who we cooperate with.

  • Internal logs — the figures on this page are computed on the fly from the reports database. No external audit has been commissioned yet.
  • CSAM content — reported to the Swiss authorities (fedpol) and, depending on the country, to the relevant INHOPE hotline. Weared is not an INHOPE member.
  • Voluntary transparency — Weared applies of its own accord the transparency principles of the EU Digital Services Act (categorised reports, reasoned decisions, internal appeal) although established in Switzerland.
  • Cooperation with authorities — requests received are logged and handled under Swiss law.

Past reports

No periodic report has been published yet: the live figures above stand in for it. Future reports will be archived here.

Appeal procedure — challenging a moderation decision

Any decision (listing removal, account suspension, ban, verification refusal) can be contested. A human re-examines the case and replies in writing, with reasons.

  1. Write to contact@weared.ch from the email address linked to your Weared account (required for authentication; otherwise the request will be rejected).
  2. Subject line: [APPEAL] .
  3. Include, at a minimum:
    • the decision being challenged and its date;
    • your factual argument (context, evidence, screenshots);
    • the desired outcome (reinstatement, reclassification, ban lifted…).
  4. The case is re-examined by a human, in the light of the elements you provide.
  5. You receive a written reasoned response: confirmation, partial revision, or full reversal of the decision. Confirmed decisions include the applicable external avenue of recourse (data protection authority, civil court).

NCII / CSAM cases and decisions taken on an authority's order (art. 292 SCC) are not eligible for internal appeal: the remedy lies directly with the competent authority.

Methodology

The figures are extracted directly from our systems: the reports database, the reports.jsonl log (timestamped, kept 12 months) and the moderation log. They are anonymised before publication. The tiles above are recomputed on every HTTP request, without caching.

We draw on the frameworks published by the Global Network Initiative, the DSA Transparency Database (EU), the Santa Clara Principles on content moderation, and the reference reports Meta Transparency Center and X Transparency Reports.

Off-cycle disclosures

Any major incident (data breach, sweeping takedown order, systemic access request by an authority) will be the subject of an ad hoc publication on this page, without waiting for the annual report — subject to legal confidentiality obligations (article 292 SCC in particular).
