Discreet shipping and pick-up points: receiving without revealing your address

On Weared, the seller and the buyer exchange no home address. Instead, each chooses a collection point — a PickPost or a My Post 24 locker — near where they live, in Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Bern, Basel or Lugano.

The parcel travels from one pick-up point to another. Neither the postman, nor the buyer, nor anyone turns up at your door. Your home appears on no document.

A PickPost point is a location (a post office or partner shop) where a shipment awaits you, without being delivered to your home. In Switzerland, you identify yourself with a personal PickPost number and an ID, but from the other party's point of view, your address remains invisible: the buyer sees only a collection point, not your street.

• Choose a PickPost that is not right at your doorstep, so as not to betray your neighbourhood.
• You receive a notice when the parcel is available.
• You collect at the counter, discreetly, during opening hours.

The My Post 24 is an automated parcel station: a bank of lockers accessible at any hour. It is the most discreet option, as there is neither counter nor human contact.

It works simply:

• When the parcel arrives in the locker, you receive a notification with a code (and usually a QR code).
• You go to the machine, scan the QR or enter the code on the screen.
• The locker containing your shipment opens. You retrieve the parcel in a few seconds.

For shipping, the principle is symmetrical: you place the parcel in a locker, a code / QR validates the operation, and the shipment sets off towards the collection point chosen by the buyer. No handwritten label bearing your address is needed.

A pick-up point is useless if the parcel shouts its contents. The Weared rule is neutral packaging:

• An opaque box or pouch, plain, with no logo or mention of the nature of the contents.
• No reference to the brand, no message visible from the outside.
• A carefully arranged interior — the piece is presented elegantly, protected, shielded from view until it reaches its recipient.

Discretion is read in the plainness. A beautiful anonymous parcel is worth more than talkative packaging.

• 1. The buyer orders and pays in Bitcoin directly to your address: the house does not hold the funds of a bitcoin sale.
• 2. You are paid immediately, with no waiting and no withdrawal request, and invited to ship.
• 3. You prepare a neutral parcel and drop it in a My Post 24 locker or at a counter, via code / QR.
• 4. The parcel travels to the buyer's collection point.
• 5. The buyer collects with their own code / QR, without ever knowing your address.
• 6. You enter the tracking number, which is mandatory: the buyer follows the parcel through to collection, and the order closes.

At no point has your home circulated. That is exactly the purpose of the house.

Choose a collection point a little away from your street. Collect at times of low footfall if you prioritise anonymity. Keep the code / QR safe, never share it, and delete it once the collection is done. These simple habits, added to the Swiss network of lockers, make your address quite simply untraceable.
